- In the spring of 2009, a small group of local retailers undertook the task of producing a non-profit making guidebook for Lancaster and Morecambe. Aimed at the style conscious, the guide presents a listing of the unique and cool; from independent retailers, boutique hotels to vibrant bars and restaurants. The guide also cover’s a wide range of great places to visit and things to do. The 84 page guidebook has been devised by Simon Couchman, Creative Director at Preston based design and PR agency, ICG. Since moving to the area from London six years ago, after meeting his now-wife, Jennifer Pritchard, he has edited, designed and taken many of the photos seen in the guidebook. “We love city breaks and buying city guides. I then realised that our own region had equally fantastic independent stores, fabulous bars and amazing places to visit - so why not create our own city guide for a style conscious traveller?”
